The KETF or Kira Elimination Task Force is a group of "elite" Japanese Police officers headed by Y. Membership of the group remains small to preserve secrecy and the group decides to work separately from the FBI. They take on the Second Kira Case.

- Lo: Chief of the Japanese Police that initially leads the Second Kira Case.
- Hideaki Gotora: Member of the Japanese Police and of the Task Force.
